At Safari Thatch, we believe in the beauty of the natural, the handmade, and the truly unique. Our mission is to bring you one-of-a-kind products created by artisans from around the world, many of whom come from indigenous communities and generations of tradition.

Unlike mass-produced goods from Walmart, IKEA, or Amazon, our products are never identical copies of one another. Each carries small, natural variations in color, texture, and shape. These imperfections are not flaws — they are marks of authenticity, character, and wabi-sabi — the beauty found in imperfection and impermanence.

We carefully curate every item we offer, selecting only high-quality, artisan-made materials that bring warmth and character to your space. On our online shop, we do our best to provide detailed photos, specifications, and instructions so you know exactly what to expect. Our goal is for you to experience the same joy and appreciation we do when you open your order.

Because our products are handmade, natural, and uniquely sourced, we kindly ask for your understanding: all sales are final. Unless an item arrives defective, we cannot accept returns. As a small business, we simply don’t have the resources of big-box stores to absorb return costs. What we can promise, however, is honesty, quality, and care — from the artisans who make these products, to the team that prepares them for you.

Travel and adventure is in our blood. It’s who we are. And, as is often the case, when you least expect it, great adventure finds you. When we started our thatch and bamboo company in 1984, we had no idea that we would become renowned in design and architectural circles for being truly unique, or that we would become the largest supplier of tropically themed architectural materials in the United States. We simply wanted to capture the soft, tranquil, unhurried ambiance that exists in places untouched by concrete and steel, internet access, and cellular phones. We wanted to take the textures, colors, materials, and abundant beauty of the natural world and help our clients create exotic escapes and personal oases that are destinations within themselves.

We are passionate about delivering warmth, serenity and natural luxury to our over complicated world. And, passion breeds success. Over the years, we’ve served over 60,000 happy customers, and acquired a stellar track record with countless references and over 80% repeat business. Our bi-coastal US warehouses allow us to ship our products anywhere in the world, quickly and affordably.
